This position will be primarily located in Wells, BC and will follow four [4] days on , three [3] days off work rotation while in Wells. Once the warehouse in Quesnel is operational, five [5] days on, two [2] days off work rotation will be followed.

Reporting to the Manager, Materials Management, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the safe, efficient, and cost-effective operation of the mine warehouse. This role provides leadership and direction to warehouse personnel while ensuring inventory accuracy, material availability, receiving, warehousing, issuing, and shipping activities support safe and reliable mine operations. The Warehouse Supervisor works closely with Procurement, Maintenance, Operations, and vendors to ensure materials are available when required while maintaining inventory control, regulatory compliance, and best practices in warehouse management.

 

·        Supervise the day-to-day operations of the mine warehouse, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with company policies and procedures

·        Lead, mentor, and develop warehouse personnel by providing coaching, training, performance management, and scheduling

·        Promote and maintain a strong safety culture by ensuring compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements

·        Oversee the receiving, inspection, storage, issuing, transfer, and shipping of materials, supplies, and equipment

·        Ensure inventory accuracy through cycle counts, audits, and inventory reconciliation while maintaining established inventory control standards

·        Monitor inventory levels and work closely with Procurement to ensure critical materials are available while minimizing excess inventory

·        Coordinate material deliveries and logistics to support underground, surface, exploration, and processing operations

·        Ensure warehouse housekeeping and material storage practices meet safety, environmental, and operational standards

·        Develop and maintain warehouse procedures, work instructions, and documentation

·        Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes, inventory management, and operational efficiencies

·        Manage warehouse equipment and ensure preventative maintenance schedules are followed

·        Maintain accurate records using the company’s ERP/inventory management system

·        Assist in budget preparation and monitor warehouse operating expenses

·        Collaborate with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve material issues and improve service levels

·        Participate in emergency response and business continuity activities as required

·        Strong leadership and team-building skills with the ability to motivate and develop employees

·        Excellent organizational, planning, and time management abilities

·        Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and logistics

·        Experience using ERP and computerized inventory management systems

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail

·        Effective communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build positive working relationships across departments

·        Ability to prioritize competing demands in a fast-paced mining environment

·        Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite

·        Minimum five (5) years of warehouse experience, including at least two (2) years in a supervisory or lead role, preferably within the mining, industrial, or heavy equipment sector.

·        Post-secondary education in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline is considered an asset.

·        Experience with mining inventory management systems and ERP software is considered an asset.

·        Knowledge of inventory control principles, warehousing best practices, and materials management.

·        Experience working in a remote mining environment is considered an asset.

·        WHMIS, Forklift Certification, and other material handling certifications are considered assets.

·        Valid Driver’s License.
