Barkerville Gold Mines Ltd. ("BGM"), a wholly owned subsidiary of Osisko Gold Group Inc. ("OGG"), is seeking a highly motivated individual to be part of its Cariboo Gold Project as a Buyer in Quesnel, BC. This position will be primarily located in Quesnel, BC with occasional travel to warehouses or operational sites and will follow five [5] days on and two [2] days off work rotation.
Reporting to the Manager, Materials Management or Senior Buyer, the Buyer is responsible for supporting the procurement team by sourcing materials, issuing purchase orders, tracking deliveries, maintaining supplier relationships, and ensuring materials are available to support operations. This role is ideal for someone beginning a career in purchasing and supply chain management.
Main Responsibilities
· Create and issue purchase orders in accordance with company policies
· Obtain quotes from approved suppliers and compare pricing, lead times, and availability
· Follow up with vendors to ensure on-time delivery of materials
· Monitor open purchase orders and resolve delivery issues
· Maintain accurate purchasing records and supplier information in the ERP System
· Coordinate with warehouse, operations, maintenance, and finance teams to ensure material requirements are met
· Assist with sourcing new suppliers when required
· Review inventory levels and support replenishment activities
· Resolve invoice discrepancies with suppliers and Accounts Payable
· Ensure compliance with procurement policies and procedures
· Assist with contract administration and supplier performance tracking
· Participate in continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement department
Skills and Abilities Required
· Strong organizational and time management skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
· Experience with ERP systems (such as Sage, SAP, or Oracle) is an asset
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy
· Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
· Problem-solving and analytical skills
· Customer service mindset with the ability to build positive supplier relationships
Qualifications
· Diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
· 0-2 years of purchasing or supply chain experience
· Must have a valid driver’s license

Compensation
$75,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
